There are so many digital locks on the market and they all have different functions, but which digital lock is the right one for you and your family?

Things to consider would be:

  • Is it made to the Australian Standards?
  • If it doesn’t have a key override function and you’re locked out due to not knowing the pin code or the batteries are flat, often this means the lock would need to be destroyed to gain entry.
  • Are the keys standard, common Lockwood or Gainsborough profile keys? So they can be easily copied by the local locksmith.

  • Do you need to be able to access the lock from another location?
  • Who will be using the lock and what functions would best suit these users? Consider if an elderly person would be using it and will my children lose keys or tags?

The lock has a very easy to use deadbolt locking and unlocking function and due to the many ways it can be unlocked, you never need to worry if you find yourself locked out, the lock will stay in tact.
